I’m Not Dead Guys

Just really lazy, unmovtivated, and uninspired.

Really sorry guys about not even logging on in AGES. School was making me so busy that I stopped caring about this place for a bit.

However, SCHOOL IS FINALLY OVER, and i have to much more free time on my hands. I’ll somewhat try and get stuff moving on back here. But now, I’m just busy sleeping a shit load, going to council meetings, and trying to practice my ass off on the violin.

The thing is, it’s really hard to go on the computer or play the violin when it’s so freakin hot. D:

Which is really not helping me with my chances of getting to perform at our schools Welcome Back Assmembly.

But yeah, anyway, that’s it for now.

I Was Born!

Hi everyone.

:D

I’m really sorry. I really don’t have anything special to post at the moment due to complete laziness.

I just felt like telling all of you guys that today, May 21, is my birthday.

The most important day in the world, because I was born.

:D

YAY ME.

Kay, that’s it.

I HAVE BECOME KOREAN

Not litteraly (psssh, I wish I could be a hot Korean dude).

But anyway, after watching this video about some dudes really awesome and sexy hair:

I absolutely FELL IN LOVE with the song that was playing in the background. So I had to look all over the place for it, when I learned that song was called by Haru Haru by Big Bang.

SO YES. I know I have a bunch of other things to do, but I love Haru Haru SO MUCH, I just had to this:

I SHALL BE FEATURING BIG BANG ON STEREO LOVE

So watch out DBSK, cause you guys have some big competition in the sexy boyband department. What’s even more surprising is that they maybe the first group I have featured on here that was actually more of a hip hop group before. SO YAY VARIETY.

And thanks to Raid My Minibar for making me a fan because of his posts about them.

AND DON’T FORGET ABOUT STEREO LOVES NEXT TOP MODEL

alan – Kaze No Tegami [5th Japanese Single]

I’m sure that if you have ever listened to Kaze No Tegami, you will agree that this song just SCREAMS “Ayumi Hamasaki” in every way. Kaze No Tegami is alans very first rock song, and you can definitely tell it’s heavily Ayumi Hamasaki influenced due to it’s use of electric guitars and of course, the signature high pitched synthesizer (just take a listen to any of the tracks on some of her “best of” albums and you’ll see). However, unlike Ayumi, alan doesn’t have an annoying squeaky high pitched voice, and I think that’s why I’d prefer her over Ayumi is alan made more rock songs like these. Vocally, she definitely sounds a lot more comfortable here than in Sora Uta, the only real issue here being is that she still sounds a bit dead at times, and the arrangement can really overpower her voice. Aside from that, this is also alans first upbeat single to not have any form of mountain vocals. Considering that this single was very interesting without them impresses me a lot, and I’d like to see alan do more experimental songs like these in the future. Did I mention I LOVE the electric guitar solos here?

Following Kaze No Tegami is Kagome, which is almost as good as Kaze No Tegami. Kagome has an interesting combination of traditional Asian elements, and rock instruments that build up very well to it’s awesome chorus. I also loved the very out there bridge which had some very random bursts of electric guitar and strange wailing in the background. Vocally, I think that she’s even better here than she is Kaze No Tegami.

*Side Note*

I was very confused as to what element was for Kaze No Tegami, considering I don’t know the Japanese Godai. Apparently, Sora Uta was for sky/ether, while Kaze No Tegami represented wind. It’s very confusing, but this single does somehow have a “windy” feel to it thanks to the synth and other rock elements.

The FINALISTS For SLNTM

So I know it’s been a while, and I’m really sorry about that. I’ve been really busy lately because of all my work I have to do to school. But anyway.

You guys remember my Next Top Model post right?

Well, I have finally tallied up the HUGE amounts of votes I received (thanks for featuring it on IW guys!), and here the results!

THE FINALISTS FOR SLNTM ARE:

Kashiyuka @ 9 Votes

Yuna Ito @ 8 Votes

alan @ 8 Votes

Mika Nakashima @ 6 Votes

Nocchi  @ 6 Votes

Koda Kumi @ 6 Votes

BoA @ 5 Votes

Aira Mitsuki @ 5 Votes

Ayumi Hamasaki @ 4 Votes

Leah Dizon @ 3 Votes

Utada @ 3 Votes

Yes, these 11 gorgeous women shall now be competing for the prize of Stereo Loves Next Top Model.

Essentially, the people that got a vote were in. The girls that had NO VOTES at all were Ami Suzuki, MEG, A-Chan (she only had one though), and Stephanie.

I still find it really amusing how A-chan was the only one out of the three Perfume girls that didn’t get in.  XDD

BUT NOW GUYS, I HAVE A TASK FOR ALL OF YOU GUYS:

I was planning to make this a whole drama thing with a script and all, but I then realized I would never be able to write out parts for all 10 girls. So now, I have decided to do things differently.

I WANT ALL OF YOU GUYS TO CHOOSE 10 PICTURES FOR EACH OF THESE GIRLS (PICTURES THAT YOU FEEL ARE REALLY BEAUTIFUL, MODEL-LIKE, ETC), PUT THEM INTO CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER (FROM EARLIEST TO MOST RECENT), AND SEND IT TO ME ON:

blackmager102@yahoo.com

You don’t need 10 pictures of EVERY GIRl, just 10 pictures for a few girls, or even one if that’s all you can do.

So make sure to turn those photos in.

I’ll figure things out from there.

:D

Really Sorry Guys

Yeah, I’m really sorry guys for not having made a post.

D:

Lovely.

I’m just SO DAMN BUSY.

I got a whole bunch of projects due on Monday May 11.

x-x

I wonder why I procrastinate.

But anyway, due to that, I’ll be way too busy to do anything on this blog during the weekend. Sorry guys. I’ll be back later.

alan – Sora Uta [4th Japanese Single]

The Digital Stuff You Listen To:

When you think about it, all alan has really released so far were all ballads. And I admit, she’s AWESOME at doing ballads, but it will eventually lose it’s interesting factor, which is why I’m so damn happy she released Sora Uta, her very first energetic single. For one thing, the arrangement is enough to make me orgasm. It has a very interesting use of percussion, synthesizer, and some interesting ethnic guitars (most likely something from China), and I don’t know, but the arrangement is so unique and interesting for me to listen to. Oh yeah, and that bridge where her vocals got extremely distorted was just a really cool effect. The vocals themselves however, is a bit of a different story. Honestly, I’ve grown used to them, and I enjoy them now (hell, everything grows on me eventually). But for some people, you may be a bit disappointed. This is the first song where she barely uses her mountain notes, so she is left singing everything else with just a regular voice, and really, it may sound awkward to you guys. She sounds rather uncomfortable when she tries to reach those lower notes, and she sounds a bit too “chesty” at times. Plus, she sounds like she’s straining a bit, and for reals alan, I want a VIBRATO. Bah. Aside from that, I absolutely love this song, it may just take a bit longer to get used to. Oh yeah, and unlike her previous single, Sora Uta is more faithful in terms of arrangement to it’s element air, as it sounds a lot airier thanks to the synth and all.

You know what, I nearly gasmed when I heard the arrangement for My Stage. It’s yet another interesting quirky little offering from alan that you normally wouldn’t here. It honestly sounds like something BoA would sing, or something Hip Hop artists here. Interestingly yet, there’s still a sense of her Chinese origins. Overall, the song is really cute and addicting (did I mention there’s even pizzicato strings in here?), but yet again, vocals. As I said, I really don’t mind them, as I’m not a good person to ask when it comes to vocal technique. But for you guys, you may notice how dead she sounds at times. It seems that alan is still getting used to singing without her mountain notes. With a bit more practice though, I’m sure she’ll sound great even without them.

FINALLY, A Hate Comment

Hey everyone.

:D

I finally got a hate comment, right on my About Me section:

“Ok so let me get this straight? You’re either 1). a fat middle-aged guy who sits in front of computer games all day and claims benefits, or 2). you’re an inept, pathetic child who thinks it’s fun to slag off other people?

Whichever one of these is true (and, believe me one of them will be), where the f*** do you get off, voicing such hurtful opinions about people? You clearly have NO taste in music as the new Bond stuff is actually shit, and NO understanding of the concept of research or you’d have actually done some before spouting this shit over the internet!

Anyway, you spiteful, pathetic, talentless little weasel, perhaps before slagging off other people, you should take a long look in the mirror?”

YAY, what an accomplishment.

Now dude, start doing this on Myspace where people actually kill themselves because of all hurtful all of this stuff is.

And plus, a bunch of it is an overexageration of what I actually think.

The FREE Four Seasons

OMG GUYS. BIG NEWS. After 5 years or so of inactivity, they’re finally BACK!

Peugeot is giving away Bonds rendition of the Four Seasons for download, and it’s FREE.

OMG OMG. YES!

I’ve been getting so bored with the few albums I had from them.

Review of all 4 seasons coming later.

Bond Is BACK

Okay, so even though I am still a bit pissed the Elspeth replaced Haylie, at least it’s nice FINALLY see some new tracks from them, because then at least I don’t have to see her face.

It seems that this car company called Peugeot decided to commision Bond to do their own version of Vivaldis Four Seaons so as to help promote their new car, which is said to be “fit for all four seasons”.

BUT ANYWAY, we have some very short previews of the videos which can be found here. So lets do a short review on them right?

Vivaldis Spring

Really, I’m liking how very traditional they sound here, while still having an electronic edge to things. It seems that they really tried to keep the original piece, just adding more. However, while I do like the synth and drum set, they’re WAY too loud for me to hear everything else properly.

Vivaldis Summer

Really, this was THE ONE season I really wanted to hear them do. I was expecting something very heavy and intense like all the covers I have seen for it. Sadly, the preview here shows almost none of the interesting parts. It’s nice to here them so much clearly now, and I am liking their new sound of their instruments.

Vivaldis Autumn

Now really, I wasn’t that excited about hearing this one. Mainly because I think it’s one of the least interesting seasons. I can almost never remember the “trademark” of this season. However, I really like the use of very light synths here, along with a drum set that is actually SOFT enough so that everything balances out. I also like how their playing sounds like it’s coming from an old radio, as it helps make it sound more traditional.

Vivaldis Winter

Oh THANK GOD, they decided to redo Winter altogether instead of just rereleasing Viva!. And I gotta say, this version sounds a LOT better. When it comes to the tibre of their instruments, it’s sounds so much better than anything else I’ve heard from them. I’m not exactly sure if its because of Elspeth and her instrument, but it does have a bit more of a techno acoustic tone instead of a boring “glossy” sound. In addition, they use Winter in the Showcase video too. And I gotta say, they really outdid themselves with the use of catchy synths compared to Viva! and I just can’t help but love their sound. If it is because of Elspeth, than I may actually like her.

But you know what’s funny. In all the videos, it feels like Elspeth isn’t even there.

XDDD

She’ll never have Haylies stage presence.

Bond Photo Evaluation ~Top Model Style~

Alright, so I’m just doing this because I have absolutely nothing good to do at the moment with my blog.

However, the main reason why I’m doing this little Photo Evaluation is because Bond seems to be coming back again. YES, after almost 4 years of almost no news, it seems that Bond is finally getting back on their feet, as they are actually releasing their rendition of Vivaldis Four Seaons, which I’m TOTALLY orgasming about in my head at the moment. Skl;jfl;ksdafj;

However, there is some VERY DEPRESSEING news, and trust me, I was almost about to tear up the morning I found out about this.

So we all know about Haylie Ecker right? Well, if you don’t, she’s the 1st violinist for Bond, and is possibly the MOST AMAZING member of the group. She is my IDOL in the violin world, and she inspires me to play and practice my violin. If you have ever watched any of her performances, you will know why she is so amazing. Her stage presence is beyond anything I’ve seen before, and she totally OWNS all the other girls of Bond. She looks amazing, she plays amazingly well, and I think she has the most passion when she plays her music.

Yeah, guess what. She decided to off and have a baby, so now Haylie is being replaced by Elspeth Hanson. Yeah, I like her name and all, but NO, JUST NO. I know little to nothing about this girl, who the fuck is she? Aside from her interesting name, I can’t find any videos that will play in this country with her in it. Honestly, I just can’t imagine any other girl that can bring the excitement and passion to the stage like Haylie can. PLUS, appearance wise, she is SO BORING to look at. I agree, it seems she has a bit of a different ethnicity compared to the other girls, but I just can’t sense any uniqueness in her at all. In fact, she looks like another Eos.

BUT ANYWAY. I apologize, so lets start with the Photo Evaluation, Top Model Style!

Warning, possibly my bitchiest post to date. However, it’s just an over exaggeration, so don’t get offended. Just laugh.

Okay, so first up is our violist Tania on the far left. Tania, I think that out of all the girls, I think you have one of the BEST poses! I mean just look at that, you really worked with your outfit to make it look very nice and flowy. In fact, what I LOVE about you overall is just how your clothes cover up your heels, which really make yourself look like you’re flying in your dress. And is that a new red viola? What happened to your other Violectra viola? Anyway, you really worked it, and I like how you were color coordinated.

However, I do have a few problems with you. What is up with your face and hair? I’ve liked your hair, but here, the blunt bangs just don’t work at all. Please stick to that hairstyle you had during that live performance of Viva at the Classical Brit Awards. Your hair here looks very dead, dull, and boring. Also, your face. It just doesn’t work. You look a bit uncomfortable and unsure of what to do. Plus your arms. Okay, it’s not bad, you could have just been a bit curvier with them.

Uh Gay-yee, I’ve loved you before, but WHAT HAPPENED HERE?! You were always one of the hottest, but I just don’t see anything like that here. Here’s one good point though, I liked how you made your cello more noticeable compared to the other girls and their violins. Then again, that cello is so damn big it’s hard to miss. But anyway, the bad, and there’s a LOT. For one thing, your CLOTHEs. WHAT THE F were you thinking? That green dress is horrendous, and you just don’t work with it. Plus, your heels just DON’T WORK. And, YOUR HAIR!!! What happened to the nice side swept bangs from back then? What’s with this ugly ass hairstyle? I’m sorry, but it just looks really tacky. Now lets see, your face. I’m sorry Gay-yee but what’s going on here? It may not be as bad as Elspeth, but you just look really awkward and confused. I just don’t feel the FIERCENESS in it at all. And as for your pose, I actually kind of like it. However, it doesn’t’ work at all with the girls. You have noticed that the other girls were going for a more flowy flying pose, but you here look like you’re going to slide off or you’re trying to stand up via your cello. It could have been a good pose, if it wasn’t for the horrendousness of everything else and if it was in a different set.

My my MY Eos. I always considered you one of the less attractive and model-esque girl in the group, but here, overall, you ARE AMAZING. For one thing, your pose. Actually, you and Tania are definitely neck to neck on this. For one thing, your ARMS. Even though it’s covered, they just look much more graceful compared to the others. In fact, your pose overall looks very graceful, like your flying, not falling like with Tania. Even though you may be showing your heels, you WORK it, and I feel like buying them now. They’re SEXY now. Oh, and I love your color coordination. It works with the background, and your violin works with the color scheme. It gives a bit of variety, while at the same time, look coordinated, unlike Tania who is all just one color. Now, your HAIR. I never liked your hooker like hair during your debut album performance at Royal Albert Hall, but here, it looks AMAZING. It doesn’t look nasty, and well kept, and it has a very vibrant color scheme to it. But OMG, the best thing with this shot is your FACE. You look so FIERCE and INTENSE, that I can just feel it! AMAZING JOB Eos.

Eww…Elspeth. Okay, you know what, I don’t even really want you in this shot. And honestly, I don’t think you really should be in this damn group, especially since you’re REPLACING HAYLIE. I’m sorry, I just don’t like you here in the group. I may like you if you were somewhere else, but I’m sorry, please get the fuck out of the group. But anyway, judging. You did a good job color coordinating all your clothes. Too bad you chose the color of shit. Your pose. Well, it does kinda work, but you look very out there here, and seem extremely stiff, especially with your right hand. Your hair, nothing interesting. But OH LORD, whats WRONG WITH YOUR FACE?!?!? You look like you’re doing on of those really ugly “for fun” pictures teenagers take. Either that, or you had to take a shit or something.

So of course, the winner here is EOS! Congratulations Eos. You will get $2000 to buy Goody a brand new electric violin of your own choice. You also get to beat the crap out of Elspeth, so Haylie can come back. Elspeth can go take care of Haylies baby.

Our Magical Trip To Pearlridge

Hey guys. Really sorry for not doing any interviews. I was really busy working on this.

Hope you guys like it, and read the description for more information.

There’s also high quality if you click it and go to youtube to see it.

Also, I apologize for my ugly self in the car.

It was REALLY hot and I sweating soo much.

D:

But enjoy.

The Stuff You Listen To:

OMG YAY, time for the alan fanboy mode. I’m pretty sure people will hate me for this, but oh wells. Lets begin. I heard a lot about how Natsukashii Mirai ~longing future~ was an epic ballad, so I couldn’t help but listen to it myself. And I’ll admit, it’s not exactly AMAZINGLY OMGLKAJSDLK:FJALK:FJLK:ADFJ epic, but it IS pretty damn epic. Apparently, this single was meant to represent the element Earth, and I think it does that well in the beginning. However, when alan starts singing, it seems that the earthy feel goes away. In addition to this, it sounds nothing like alans previous Chinese styled music. This song is a much more mainstream ballad, and well, it does sound pretty good. I love the use of strings, percussion, and piano in here. But wait, ALAN FINALLY PLAYS HER EHRU DURING THE BRIDGE. It’s not too amazing, but I love the sound of the ehru. But anyway, I’ll admit, the song really is something that just makes you feel inspired or something you’d sing along with a group of friends or at graduation, especially at the end, at I’m giving a lot of credit to the background vocals for doing that. However, I think the thing here is that alan isn’t the one making this song epic, everything else in the background is. Aside from those mountain note sections (which were pretty awesome as always, but a bit too high this time), alan sounds a bit too regular and normal here, and doesn’t sound like she’s really giving it her all. It’s all the background vocals, and the arrangement that’s making it sound all epic. But still, I can’t help but LOVE this song.

And on to the B-side, I personally think that Seed of Green is more “earth like” than the A-side. I absolutely LOVE the music in here, especially the slight use of an electric guitar and the pretty piano, along with the use of sounds such as birds chirping. Alan though, still sounds very reserved. I did freak out during the verses, because it doesn’t sound like her at all. O-o But I do like how she sounds there, even though it sounds like she seems to struggling to belt.

In addition to the two songs, there’s also a choir version of the A-side. Arrangment wise, all there is a piano, which sounds really nice, although it does get rid of all the epicness that was in the original. When it comes to the choir that was used here, I am very mixed on it. On one side, they sound good in the some parts, and I LOVE it when they do more interesting harmonies. However, on the other end, I don’t like how “Asian” the choir sounds. As in, the way they pronounce the lyrics just really irritate me, and it sounds stupid at times. Especially when it gets to the parts where the pronounce their r’s, and when they sing the English lyrics.
