This is Perfume’s 11^th single overall and was released on January 16, 2008. It has reached #3 on the Oricon Charts and has sold 65,686 copies.

By now, I’ve gotten used to Perfume and their upbeat happy dancy songs, but the 3 girls and Nakata decides to give us quite a surprise. Baby Cruising Love decides to take Seventh Heaven, and improve on it. The one thing that makes this single stick out quite a lot is because compared to their other songs, their voices are not as digitally enhanced as before, so you get to hear a more “real” side of them. In addition, Nakata decided to fuse the piano with his classic electronic sound. I guess you could call this song a ballad, or something like it. The song moves very slow, and it’s quite laidback, but it’s still freakishly catchy. Their vocals did bug me a bit here, especially when they ended the song. (They really should work with singing in tune)

You thought that Baby Cruising Love was slow? Macaroni decides to go even slower. In fact, this is really the one song from Perfume that could be called a ballad (who ever knew there was such a thing as an electro-pop ballad?) Nakata decides to again work his magic and combines a nice jazzy drum set (or at least synth that sounds like a drum set) with his classic electronic sound. The girls vocals aren’t as digitally enhanced, and there is a nice feel to them that made this song even more enjoyable. And even this slow is moving at such a slow pace, they still SOMEHOW make it insanely catchy. This song is MUCH more memorable than Baby Cruising Love. I was also surprised at how they SOMEHOW made a dance to this song. The whole dancing with a mic stand was quite clever.
